Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • define objectives of condition monitoring of machines and systems
  • detect faults in the running behaviour of machines
  • create reliable error diagnoses
  • identify and eliminate the root causes of failures and malfunctions
  • apply analytical procedures for error assessment
  • design holistic monitoring strategies using AI approaches

Maintenance management methodology and techniques; physical and technical failure characteristics; vibration fundamentals for root cause analysis; fault descriptors on rotors, bearings and gears; corrective measures and proactive improvements; holistic maintenance systems using AI methods; prescriptive approaches..
