After successful completion of the course, students are able to organise, manage, plan, manage and execute complex architectural projects in all phases of planning and construction. In an open and in-depth discussion on building culture, planning methods and planning content with practical reference to real large-scale projects, students are able to create precise execution and detailed plans, organise the awarding of services and construction services, and manage construction projects. Students have a basic knowledge of relevant legal issues, in particular procurement and contract law.
Technical and methodological skills: Systems Engineering; planning and construction project management as design, control and steering tasks for the successful implementation of architecturally high quality planning, construction and real estate projects; Procurement and contract law; Innovation, social and problem-solving skills.
The module conveys knowledge and skills for the organisation, control, general planning and construction management of complex architectural projects. Real large-scale projects are analysed in depth. Planning and process steps are implemented in the exercises using iterative architectural planning and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The connection to practice and the discourse on planning and control methods is deepened by the involvement of guest lecturers. Key legal issues in the handling of large-scale projects are identified and discussed.
