TU Wien Research Portfolio

The TU Wien research portfolio offers the opportunity of viewing research expertise and research output of the TU Wien. It offers all employees of the TU Wien the opportunity of presenting comprehensive information about their research activity in diverse forms to different target groups.

The aim of this research portfolio is a research-, development- and innovation profile that is both clearly visible and searchable internally and externally, and which, on one hand, internally provides scientific output and expertise, and on the other hand, provides an important and valuable source of information for initiations of cooperations with partners from science and economy. Besides the depiction of research output, data for the creation of the intellectual capital and the research evaluation is recorded.

Project Database

In the project database, all research projects carried out at the TU Wien (according to the categories of research funding and assigned research, education and academia management projects, scholarships, own projects and global individual projects) are recorded and workflow-based throughout the entire project life cycle.

In the password-protected area Help, you will find, among other things, the manual for the TISS project database, material numbers as assistance when acquiring an invoice in SAP, as well as guidelines for the processing of your project (such as guidelines for calculating the internal cost allocation, the reimbursement of costs, overhead rate, guidelines for project organization and declaration of approval through EU-project staff).

reposiTUm

The reposiTUm supports the TU Wien in the implementation of its Open Access policy as well as in the collection of research information and the presentation of research output.

Open Access Platform

Since 2015, the TU Wien Bibliothek has been using reposiTUm to promote all forms of Open Access and to disseminate scientific publications, preprints, university theses, other TU Wien grey literature, and digitized works from the library collections. The reposiTUm ensures long-term access to full texts, enables them to be found in international portals, and complies with the FAIR principles of institutional repositories.

TU Wien publication output

The reposiTUm enables members of the TU Wien to easily and promptly record their publication output and other research achievements and to make them publicly visible. This information has been collected internally at the university since the Universities Act 2002 and is included in the search results after deactivating the Open Access filter.

TU Wien Research Data

TU Wien Research Data is the institutional research data repository of TU Wien. It enables members of TU Wien to publish their research data in accordance with the FAIR Principles. Interested researchers and the public can find the published data by using a unique identifier (DOI) or with the help of common search engines and use it according to the stored access and use authorisations.

TU Wien DMP Tool

As a member of TU Wien, you can use the TU Wien DMP Tool to create data management plans. The tool guides you in 10 steps through the different sections of a DMP and supports you with questions, text suggestions, and further information. In addition, some content is automatically pre-filled with information from TISS and other TUW systems. As a result, you receive a DMP as a Word document, which can be customised and submitted to European and national research funders, for example.
