Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to work on a research question, to collect and to organize related information, to formulate a solution, and to present it in a structured way.

Subject of course

The work on a research question includes several parts. In this course, the following topics are dealt with:

  • Definition of a research question that can be solved within the given timeframe
  • Specification of the solution approach
  • Working on the question partly alone, partly under supervision
  • Continuous documentation of the task, the solution approach, and the results, as well as the literature used
  • Creating the complete bachelor thesis.

Teaching methods

The course includes working on a given project as well as a seminar. The topic of the project and the solution are to be presented in the seminar.
