Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to conduct small projects in the research field of robot vision and machine vision. They will be able to report results in the correct scientific manner and be able to present results in form of a paper and short presentation.

Subject of course

Select a topic from a given list or propose a topic in agreement with the lecturer. Directly work with the assigned assistant to understand all aspects of the topic and work on an implementation of a solution. Work will be based on an publication.

Attendance is required in the first lecture to get a topic assigned on 6. March 2024 14:00 (punctual) Computerlabor E376, CA0426. Students need to have finished the exercise part of the lecture 376.081 Machine Vision, 376.056 Machine Vision and Cognitive Robotics, or an equivalent lecture before attending this lecture.

Teaching methods

The methods correspond to a deepening of the methods from lecture 376.081 Machine Vision.
In special cases, similar or new methods are also assigned under the supervision of the assistants.

Examination modalities

2-page scientific paper following the IEEE format plus short presentation of the scientific work and the results. The paper and presentation are graded by the supervising assistant and the professor.
