Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 3.0
  • Type: LU Laboratory Exercise
  • Format: Presence

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to implement and parameterize high dynamic field oriented control schemes of permanent magnet synchronous machines on voltage source inverters with real time processor systems and to perform measurements at the electric drive.

Subject of course

  • Signal processor-based real-time control systems.
  • Programming drive control algorithms with PM-synchronous machines.
  • Parameter identification of the electric drive parameters.
  • Design and implementation of speed- and position-controlled drives.
  • Realization of a flux weakening method.
  • Measuring the properties of the realized drives (dynamics, accuracy).

Teaching methods

  • Identification of an electric drive
  • Design of control algorithms
  • Implementing software algorithms
  • Permorming measurements
