Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to

  • describe and calculate transmission and distribution systems and their components,
  • describe the basics of protection on all voltage levels
  • evaluate and calculate the relevant forms of neutral treatment
  • calculate short circuit currents in power systems
  • use the basics and technologies of high voltage

Energy transmission and distribution, high voltage AC and DC systems, star point and grounding, substations, network protection, SCADA, high voltage technology

Additional information

Tuesdays will be for lecture on energy transmission and distribution, Fridays for high voltage technology. Friday lectures will only be held in the fisrt half of the term with doubled duration.
