After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • Identify and work on subtasks of a scientific question in the field of MEMS/NEMS.
  • Independently read scientific literature and discuss its content.
  • Apply scientific methods under guidance to a given scientific question.
  • Critically discuss own research results and discover new questions.
  • Summarize own scientific results and present and discuss them in front of an audience.

Subject of course

The course provides a deeper insight into a recent topic and into relevant methods in the field of MEMS/NEMS. In coordination with the participants, individual study problems are assigned on which the participants work independently under guidance of the lecturers. The required methods and relevant literature are discussed in the beginning of the course. The results are continuously discussed und are presented in a talk at the end of the course.
