Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently search and read scientific publications in the field of micro- and nanosensors, summarize them in the form of a seminar paper, critically evaluate the state of the art, and present the work.

Subject of course

Independent research based on state-of-the-art publications in the field of micro- / nanosensorics, the corresponding technologies and the underlying basics. The results of the literature research are discussed with the supervisor and then presented and discussed in the framework of a final presentation.

Examples: Acoustic passive radar, Power sensor - power glove, nano-g accelerometer, bees with backpacks (micro-sensors), nanopore sequencing, microsensors based on a whispering gallery mode, wearable (sensor) devices for sports,…

Teaching methods

Discussion with the supervisor, literature research, analyzing the publications, writing and presenting the work
