Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

understand key processes of the technology families for the production of modern components of photonics. The guideline here is to introduce students to current research topics in the field of photonics.

Subject of course

the course 'Technology and Materials Deepening' imparts in-depth knowledge of the technologies and materials for components in optoelectronics and photonics. The focus will be on specific questions on the material side as well as on the technology side. In the sense of
research-led teaching, the current research topics of the course instructors determine the topics of specialization. In detail, these are in the field of photonics technologies for the production of novel sources and detectors.

Teaching methods

Familiarisation with the current literature on the respective research area.
