Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • know relevant objectives and framework conditions of assistance systems in manufacturing
  • evaluate existing assistance systems and develop approache for their improvement
  • systematically draft assistance systems for deployment in manufacturing

 

Subject of course

Basic trends and developments in production, initial situation of production work in Central Europe, overview of existing assistance systems in production (work-assisted systems, decision support systems, human-robot interaction)

Planning, design and evaluation of assistance systems, participation-oriented design, evaluation and selection of alternate solutions, work safety, protection of personal data, context adaptivity, usability

Teaching methods

  • Active cooperation during the LV unit
  • Successful completion of three exercise example
  • written exam
