Detailed videos with numerous examples and writen script, check of understanding and examples in the form of eLearning tests, review and exam examples in the lecture hall, written exam.
Planning winter semester 2022 (due to Corona pandemic): Current plan is to make the content available in the form of lecture notes videos and in TUWEL. In addition, there will be a weekly lecture in the lecture hall (1h 30min), where the main content will be repeated, exam examples will be shown and questions will be answered. There will possibly be a seating limitation, which may mean that some of the students can only participate online. There are plans to record and/or live stream the lectures. This will certainly be the case if not everyone in the lecture hall can attend. Attendance in the lecture hall is recommended.
The course is assessed by means of a written examination, whereby the previous passing of the eLearning part is a prerequisite for taking the examination.
Within the framework of the eLearning part, one learning activity (usually a test) must be completed per week. The learning activity is available until the start of the lecture, in which the corresponding content is repeated. Successful participation in the eLearning part is considered to have reached 50% of the total points (sum over all tests).
At the end of the semester one and in the following semester three written exams (duration 1.5 hours) are offered. One exam appointment and, in case of a negative exam, one retake of the exam are possible per academic year. Each of the four offered dates can be chosen as examination or repetition date.
Students must bring their student identification card, a calculator, writing utensils, and the annexes of the lecture notes, which may be used as supporting documents for the examination, with them to the examinations. No notes are allowed in the supporting documents.
The course will be graded based on the number of points earned on the exam and 50% of the points are required for passing. In the case of an exam retake, the score achieved on the retake will count.
If the eLearning part has been completed positively and no exam has been taken, the eLearning part can be credited in the next academic year.
If on-site written examinations are not possible (Corona), online examinations are conducted. They are conducted analogously to the on-site examinations as "Written Online Paper Examinations". If this is necessary, detailed instructions will be provided in TUWEL.
