Aim of course

Exercises in the application of the Finite Element method to nonlinear engineering problems.

Subject of course

Using Finite Element programs available at the institute simple problems of nonlinear structural mechanics are solved. These problems encompass geometrical nonlinearities (large strains), contact problems and material nonlinearities (elastoplastic material behavior).
