The course is based on latest findings from European and national research projects:
1. Environmental boundary conditions
2. Physical Fundamentals
3. Measurement methods and devices (recording technology, data analysis, recording procedures, Post Processing, digital acoustic procedures, as well as digital video recording technology)
4. Experimental sites (in the vehicle, at the test site and the acoustics roller dynamometer)
5. Effects on the exterior noise - Vehicle (car, truck, construction) - Powertrain (transient engine parameters) - Tires (traction force, insurgency force, slip, temperature) - Driving condition (rolling, constant, accelerated) - Road surface
6. Simulation methods for the exterior noise
7. Optimization of the overall system vehicle - tires – roadsurface
In the framework of the lecture, physical basics are introduced. The in-depth knowledge is based on the results of our own international research projects. The experimental and computational methods are discussed using practical examples.
