Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to have the insight into the advanced production technologies and basic principles of Industrie 4.0 to meet the challenges facing the manufacturing industry in the future. The students will be able to analyze and describe the components of advanced production technologies, modeling, optimization and simulation of automated production processes, as well as standards for the operation of the digital factory within the framework of Smart Factory.

  • Overview of Advanced Production Technologies with Industrie 4.0
  • Metrology and Quality Assurance (Micro/Nanometrology applications:  3D Co-ordinate metrology, Computed tomography - CT, 3D scanner, CMM, AFM)
  • Advanced production process modeling, optimization, and simulation in an integrated management system
  • Standards for the digital factory operations as a part of the Smart Factory
  • Use Cases: Industrie 4.0
