Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain and demonstrate the standards and procedures for acceptance, inspection and calibration as well as the analysis and evaluation of the geometric inspection of manufacturing equipment.

Subject of course

The following points receive special attention:- application of laser interferometry - determination of positioning accuracy - influence of environmental conditions - checking of parallelism and perpendicularity - application of calibration artefacts

Teaching methods

Active participation and collaboration in the laboratory operation in the performance of a verification process and application of calibration methods according to international standards.
