Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to implement the knowledge acquired in courses as part of a practical material processing project. They are able to record and implement a task for material processing.

Subject of course

  • New materials for micro-stereolithography and two-photonlithography
  • Processing of advanced ceramics for dental applications
  • Development of test stand for biaxial testing of ceramics
  • Characterisation of implants for total joint replacement made by PE-UHMW (structural parameters and mechanical properties).
  • Biaxial tension tests on miniature specimen (Small Punch test) on retrievals and specimens (PE-UHMW)
  • Age-hardening potential of new Al alloys
  • Thermo-mechanical behaviour of high temperature alloys for the automotive and aerospace industry.
  • Phase transformation of Ti alloys

Im Rahmen des Seminars ist ein ausgewähltes Thema in Form einer Literaturarbeit nach wiss. Methoden zu bearbeiten. Am Ende der LVA findet eine Präsentation statt, bei der die Ergebnisse der Literaturarbeit vorgestellt werden sollen. Mögliche Seminarthemen werden bei der Vorbesprechung bekanntgegeben.
