After successful completion of the course, students are able to create technical drawings of general machine components according to the technical drawing standards and rules for production-oriented design.
During some lectures it will be tought, how workshop drawings have to be worked out in two dimensions based on geometry of the threedimensional space and according to standards. During exercise lessons simple workshop drawings have to be worked out, by free hand, with auxiliary tools and by CAD.
Arranging the rules for standard-compliant drawing creation in a short lecture section, creating freehand sketches of machine components as well as CAD drawings (parts and assembly drawings) in the exercise section.
Graduates of a HTL (mechanical engineering or similar orientation) can attend the shortened exercise section, see dates HTL groups. To do this, you have to upload your school-leaving certificate including the timetable in TUWEL. Graduates of an AHS (general high school) have exercise once a week throughout the semester, see dates for AHS groups.
It is required to use the TUWEL online-course as there is lots of necessary information, videos, tests and much more. (available from October)
