Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • implement basic measuring concepts for e. g. temperature, pressure, mass flow at energetic systems
  • implement basic control concepts by using an SPS
  • realisation of process- and data-visualisation

  • Overview over automation topics (from the sensor to the distributed control system, interfaces, bus standards, transmission protocols)
  • Digital signal acquisition (sensors, converters, processing)
  • Control of thermal process variables
  • Sequential control and process automation
