Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently work on a problem in the field of fluid machinery (thermal turbomachinery or hydraulic machinery) and to prepare and document solutions accordingly.

Subject of course

The main topic of this lecture is the preliminary design of a fluid-flow machine or the detailed analysis of a selected component. A problem definition as well as all the necessary literature and computer programs will be supplied to the students. Special attention will be given to the computerized methods for design and analysis.
