Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to deal with and summarize and present a special scientific theme. The informations to the scientific theme are found with the help of literature database. 

Subject of course

Actual themes of applied thermodynamics and power engineering are under consideration. In a series of lectures the participants have to present their work. Suggestions of students according to the theme of their work are considered. Possible themes are for example: - Thermodynamics: Solar energy, heat pumps, firing systems, design of heat exchangers, problems in heat transfer (finned tubes, condensation, evaporation), heating systems. Additional themes are presented at the preliminary discussion.
