After successful completion of the course, students are able to treat typical problems in the area of dynamical systems by using proper numerical methods and to interpret the obtained numerical results.
Application of basic numerical algorithms to problems occuring in mechanics and applied mathematics. Solution of linear and nonliear equations; Initial and boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations; Stability properties of solutions; Simulation of chaotic systems.
Introduction into the mathematical and numerical problem statements, explanation of the introduced software packages.
Treatment of a problem using the presented methods.
