The transdisciplinary lecture series "Experiencing Japan" is organized in cooperation with the Department of Architecture and Environment Systems at the Shibaura Institute of Technology (Tokyo).
In the first part - "Hospitality" - a group of students from Japan will be hosted at the TU Vienna in October 2022. An excursion to Japan is envisaged for the summer semester 2023. Students who complete the first part ("Hospitality") are guaranteed a spot on the excursion in the summer semester.
Through collective discussions and research, topics of spatial planning will be reflected and interpreted from Japanese and Austrian perspectives. The specific challenges of spatial and transport planning practice in the two countries are investigated.
