After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain and reflect on basic curational concepts. They are able to evaluate the suitability of different educational formats and select formats for different study projects. The students will acquire essential skills for the process steps necessary for organizing exhibitions (especially to identify relevant actors for the process) and will gain experiences in public- and media relations. They will be able to create positions concerning topics with a social relevance as well as to create visions and elaborate concepts. Students will also acquire skills concerning common features of and differences between exhibition formats for spatial planning in public institutions and in public space and can put them into practice.
Due to the COVID Pandemic this study project did not take place the last two years. This year the project will pursue to focus on the curation of spatial planning contents of the past years. Students and teachers will jointly form the curational and creative exhibition team. The exhibition will mainy be developed in workshops. In the course of this lecture a two-day excursion to Belgrad is planned, where students can exchance ideas with collegues about their work, a local exhibition project (BINA).
