The course is concentrating on practice-oriented transfer of knowledge about the application of spreadsheet softwares. The students get to know the different tools for analysis of planning based data by using the widespread software MS-Excel. On the basis of these functions and tools, can then be considered examples of planning based data acquisition, preparation, analysis and visualisation. The aim of the course is getting know different approaches to questions of content and answering these questions based on analysis and evaluation. The examination mode is based on two computer-based test. First interim test: Application of learned tools and functions. Second interim test: Processing questions of content independently and creatively.

It is absolutely necessary to come to the preliminary discussion on 1. March 2024 at 14:00 in the HS 6.

This course has an immanent mode of examination.

The examination mode is based on two intermediate tests, each of which has to be solved independently on a computer at the EDV-Labor. Both tests have to be completed with a positive score. Basically, attendance at the intermediate tests is compulsory - please make a note on the dates early on! For proven excuses and those who haven't scored enough points on one of the two tests, there is a replacement test.

Detailed assessment criteria will be presented during the Kick-Off session and will then be available via TUWEL.

Registration and deregistration modalities:
Registration and deregistration for exams and courses after the TISS registration deadline are to be sent in justified cases (cases of illness, etc.) only by e-mail to srf@tuwien.ac.at. Please note that late registration and deregistration will only be accepted upon submission of an appropriate justification (medical certificate, proof of a technical problem). E-mails sent to the respective lecturers in this regard will remain unanswered.
