After successful completion of the course, students are able to classify the following assessment tools in the framework of spatial planning: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Spatial Impact Assessment (SIA).
After competition of the course students can differentiate between the EIA, SEA and SIA; they are able to describe when the respective instruments are used, how the process works and what the legal effects are.
