Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyze, to assess and to integrate technical, organizational and economic requirements of public transport and freight transport in planning practice..

Subject of course

Interactions between public transport and urban development; effects of rail service in rural regions; Public transport planning; transport demands; rail infrastructure investments; rail terminals; haulage systems; city logistics

Teaching methods

Combined Lecture with exercises. For some lessons calculations are required. Some lessons are enriched by special inputs from experts of extern institutions and transport companies.
