After successful completion of the course, students are able to to asses and analyse comprehensively aspects of sustainability in tourism planning. Students have knowledge of recent challenges of tourism in development countries and managing cultural heritage.

Students research in groupwork specific tourism topics and present them. Additionally a book review has to be drafted.
The grading uses following criteria:
- quality of the book review- quality of the preparation/presentation of a topic- active participation in the course
The student has to be enrolled for at least one of the studies listed below
