Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to use rich impulses from places of contemporary design and art production for their own work. These give impetus for the development of independent concepts and new approaches in design.

Subject of course

The excursion takes us on a study trip to Venice / Italy & 58th Art Biennale Venice 2019 in the winter semester 2019/2020. Hardly any other city of this size combines such a density of historically grown urbanity, exemplary architecture of all eras, cultural tradition, and richly filled museums. The programme includes an extensive visit to the current Biennale, a highlight in the presentation of contemporary art, as well as visits to the Fondazoine Prada, Palazzo Grassi, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Fondazione Giorgio Cini and much more.
