After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
...to deal with contexts and positions coming from the fine arts.
...to further develop analytical, conceptual thinking.
...to create their own concepts for an artistic work.
....Approach a topic from an artistic practice and perspective.
....To choose the appropriate technique for the work and to implement it independently.
we "see - what?"
How much does seeing influence us? Do sustainable concepts of photovoltaic plants and wind turbines obscure our view, "blight" the landscape? Or can they be embedded in cultural and agricultural landscapes in such a way that they are perhaps even perceived as an added design value for a collective perception. How much photovoltaics can a building tolerate, and how is the weighting of efficiency and design aspects distributed? How will the future cityscape, the urban landscape change? What traces have the technical achievements of the last centuries already left on the landscape?Architects and spatial planners are challenged to react to these questions, to develop alternative concepts to the global challenges of our time and to find creative ways out.We are investigating this phenomenon and try to influence it in a discursive way from our research. At the same time we learn what it means to do Art based Research, to find references, and finally to approach the ambivalence of efficiency and aesthetics experimentally by dealing with Land-Art projects and case studies.
