After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the relationships, interdependencies, but also differences in building-spatial structures at several scales and to develop methods and instruments as well as spatial-structural and building proposals at the interface between city and 'hinterland' or inner-city settlement structures and open space of various forms.
Case studies on best and worst practice will show structural morphological solutions on how to formulate an interlocking or even interweaving or even clear separation at settlement edges.
