After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the acquired knowledge and the specialist terminology. They will have a basic competence to analyse open space and green space in context of the surrounding built-up areas, to understand them according to their use and function. During the design studio students will develop integrated design solutions for urban open spaces which combine ecological, design and user-specific requirements.

The "Studio Städtebau" consists of two parts: the "Urban Design Studio" and "Basics of Landscape Architecture". Therefore Design Projects which are developed in the course of the Studio Städtebau will be supervised by lecturers from both disciplines.

Students assigned for "Studio Städtebau" are automatically assigned for this course and group information is transferred.  

IMPORTANT:  All students assigned to "Studio Städtebau" PLEASE   subscribe to "Landschaftsarchitektur" in TISS!!!

REGISTRATION SPECIAL GROUP (Sondergruppe)

Students who have already finished "Studio Städtebau" (e.g. at a foreign university) and want to enroll ONLY in "Landschaftsarchitektur" are asked to contact the department via e-Mail landscape@tuwien.ac.at with subject line  Landschaftsarchitektur Special Group. However, the Special Group is already full for term winter 2021/22 and students will be put on the waiting list until the registration deadline 30th Sept. 2021

EXCURSIONS

You have not taken part in an Landschaftsarchitektur excursion during the previous terms WS16/17 - WS 17/18 - WS 18/19- WS 19/20 (or you have only attended one of two excursions)? i. e. you need one or two excursions to complete your course: In this case you do NOT need to inscribe to the entire course, please contact our department by mail: landscape@tuwien.ac.at, subject line Excursion Landschaftsarchitektur.
