After successful completion of the course, students are able to write a scientific essay on their own and do the necessary in-advance research; this also means finding and choosing appropriate and relevant literature by reading suitable texts critically and evaluating them.
In the elective seminar, professional academic work is to be tested by means of a methodically consistent, theoretical approach to the topic "city". The aim of this seminar is to write a scientific essay (preparatory work for a possible theoretical Bachelor thesis). The respective research questions will be worked out in cooperation with the lecturer. In addition, students are familiarised with the principles of academic discussion, as well as scientific argumentation and research.
