Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the history of constructions of labour camps in post-war communist Romania and to put the objects into a contemporary context.

Subject of course

A design process to develop a future use for neglected historically important buildings.

Teaching methods

Introduction lectures at TU Wien, study tour to inspect the objects on site to understand the environmental conditions and subsequent Elaboration of a design or concept for future use.
