Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to orient themselves in partial Aspects of R&D in the ecology pertaining to the built environment. 

In this Ring lecture, especially younger researchers are asked to provide their insights and an overwork about their work. 

The different approaches to ecology (of the built environment and others) are complex and tricky to understand, given the multitude in terminology, challenges, and goals. As such, students might benefit from the different approaches of different research units and researchers coming from different backgrounds, so that one can build their own opinion and approach.

 

Subject of course

This lecture series is a plattform for young researchers who work in the field of ecology of the built environment (and other fields of technogies, ecologies, and further approaches). Thereby, guests from the domains of architecture, building physics, building ecology, building construction, Performance Simulation, Greenary, and others are invited to share their insights and approaches. The lectures should not be missunderstood as a general introduction to ecology, but rather a top-notch insight to current research projects and approaches.

Thereby, we strongly believe, that students are to be encouraged to be critical and to develope their own approaches pertaining to the content of the lecture.
