After successful completion of the course, students are able to create and import 3D models, create textures and assign materials, setup scenes with cameras and lighting and render images for presentation of planning projects.

This class starts with the basic concepts of computerbased 3d visualistaion. Topics include import and export of 3d geometry, fundamental steps for creating geometry, textures and mapping techniques, simple lighting models, cameras in 3D space and compositing methods.

The software used in class include Google Sketchup, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop and Google Earth.

The class is on an introducional level with a strong focus on hands on examples.

In the wintersemester of 2022 the class will be held as a distant learning course.

The topics for the distant learning phases will be covered via pre-recorded videos and live Zooms-Sessions. All of that plus homework assignments and projects will be coordinated via TUWEL. Access is available only after registration vis TISS.

The first class is held as a live Zoom Session and attendence is mandatory.

This class is part of the Elective Module #11 (Visutech) from the Bachelor program of Spacial Planning. Registration is only open for Students of Spatial Planning (033240+066440). Both classes are held by video Tutorials and Live Zoom meetings. The zoom meetings for this class are held on Monday 10:30-12:00.

You need to register for both classes. Make sure to choose the right group (entire module or only one class)

The first class is a ZOOM Meeting. Attending the first class is mandatory. Students that fail to come to the first class will be removed from the list. The Zoom Link will be provided by email min. 1h before the class.

Students are evaluated based on class attendance, homework assignments and smaller projects. All work is done individually.
