Nach positiver Absolvierung der Lehrveranstaltung sind Studierende in der Lage, grundlegende Machine Learning Methoden im Umgang mit Film zu implementieren, und sie haben praktische Erfahrung im Umgang mit dem Schneiden von Film und dem Umgang mit Stills im Digitalen gelernt.

BRIEF
CUT deals with the qualification of spaces in architecture via the construction of panoramic views of images and texts. CUT is about domesticating computer code and exercising personal codes to talk and show architecture. It works on the idea that the availability of online observations in large quantities ––The Plenty–– and the techniques to deal with it ––A.I.-powered search engines and panorama creators–– present a rich and promising scenario for architectural philosophies and praxes. That any articulation of architecture is beyond a search query or a panoramic view, as they come from a position, have a direction, and follow a personal code. This course is an exercise in talking and showing the qualities of a space from The Plenty.
CUT is roughly divided into two––the Chat and the Room. Students will choose a dialogue from a movie and invent the rooms that could host it. They will work with millions of images, clips, and 3D models, and exercise the personal codes to compose an image that resonates with the questions, interests, problems, positions, temperaments, colors... folded by the dialogue. Students will present their chats and rooms in the form of a short animation. Panoramas of Cinema and Blender will be of assistance.
