After successful completion of the course, students are able to evaluate the technical and creative possibilities of different camera systems in order to be able to use these tools to produce and document their artistic work according to their own criteria.
The content of the course is the historical development of photography, its technical fundamentals in the analogue as well as in the digital field and how these are to be applied in the design and conception of an image. These goals are not necessarily pursued from the outset, but rather arise in the process.
The photographic and creative process is described and carried out in a practical manner. This includes the positioning or staging of the object, the lighting and other considerations that lead to a technically correct capture of an image and thus correspond to the artistic context of the respective position.
