After successful completion of the course, students are able to view the built environment with higher perceptual sensitivity to architectural aspects.

Students are going to prepare and analyze buildings on-site and will perceive buildings in the context of their creation, their socio-economic, urban and/or structural conditions and view them with a different, expanded perspective. In this way, a connection between theory and built reality can be established and architecture at the respective destination is better understood.

The excursion in the winter semester 2022 will be dedicated to architecture in the greater Innsbruck area. Special emphasis will be placed on constructively sophisticated buildings in the broader context of contemporary architectural practices. The buildings will be viewed from the outside as well as from the inside.
