Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the knowledge they have acquired in technical and methodological terms with regard to technical competence in building, planning and design principles from the perspective of a holistic architectural approach. You have cognitive and practical skills: The ability to grasp complex structural engineering and structural problems. Promotion of the systematic forward thinking of innovative, the rules of the technology for the structural design and its materialization. Social skills, innovation skills and creativity: Promotion of the ability to communicate and interdisciplinary cooperation with those involved in the construction and planning process

 

Subject of course

Getting to know the instruments and tools for planning practice. Discussion of the job profile of the architect with regard to his/her self-image as a generalist, service provider or specialist or as a partner in the planning process. Investigation of the ecological, economic and socio-cultural qualities of a building. Presentation of principles and methods for reducing the energy consumption of our buildings. Presentation of alternative construction methods, constructive and material-technical new and further developments with regard to their importance for the sustainability and economic efficiency in the construction, operation and maintenance of structures and buildings.
Deepening of basic knowledge about materials and materials, their behavior and joining principles with the involvement of professionals from construction and planning practice. Overview and discussion of guidelines, regulations, standards and norms in construction and their impact on planning practice.
