Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to be in a position not to be satisfied with the objectively constructed real environment and to question common urban, residential and architectural concepts and to understand architecture in its essence.

Subject of course

Waters are attractions in the city structure. However, they also represent a cut in the urban structure and divide into shore halves. How can a residential bridge function as a connecting element in terms of both traffic and culture? From a structural planning point of view, higher loads are created in a residential bridge, as in a conventional bridge. How can these additional static challenges be solved?

Teaching methods

Designs explore architecture in its essence and are not content with the objectively built real environment. The questioning of common urban, residential and architectural concepts is the core of the design, whereby high quality of life and practical purpose are in the foreground of these considerations. The innovation takes place on all scale levels, from the design, object to the structural and detailed plan.

Mode of examination

Written and oral
