Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply basic methods of materialization as an integrative part of their architectural design, the course should communicate basic knowledge for an ecological and economic planning with material in the context of building construction.

Subject of course

Investigation, Analysis and preparation of relevant materials for the extension of the sample database at the department. This materials database is directly connected to the existing collection of material samples which is expanded on a continual basis.

Examination modalities

Analysis, research of the information required to create a material data sheet, final presentation. Mandatory attendance. Furthermore, a prototypical detail cut is to be developed, the researched material is to be used comprehensibly and correctly in one layer of the detail.
