After successful completion of the course, students are able to write an academic paper and possess basic knowledge of scholarly research. Students will be able to work with literature and gain an understanding of how to formulate a scientific argument. The course topics incudes academic reserach, literature research, interdiszciplinary approaches, and correct use of citation methods.
In this seminar we will focus on the developments and changes of the cultural landscape Weinviertel and its vernacular architecture. We will explore which building structures are connected with the development of villages and agricultural use and analyze how the entire region was shaped by these impulses. We will look at this rich cultural heritage and compare strategies for reconciling historic structures with contemporary uses.Schedule: The elective seminar will take place either face-to-face, hybrid or online. 12.10. We will take a look at specific examples and anlyse the development from the beginnings til today. Thereby we want to gain an understanding of the impact of educational culture to Austrian cultural heritage. By comparing different strategies how to implement new functions and new concepts for use into the old structures we want to develop various options how to preserve and use the architectural heritage today.
