After successful completion of the course, students are able to deal creatively with historical buildings, because all design work on protected structures requires specific expertise and appropriate strategies. This excursion offers students the opportunity to study on the site the manifold requirements that are needed to conserve, restore, renovate and administrate a historic monument.
The excursion (29.03.2020 - 04.04.2020) is linked to the design studio 251.859 "Denkmalpflege und Entwurf: Strategien der Erhaltung". Two one-day trips to Walbersdorf between 12 and 16 April will enable us to work directly on the object. Additional excursions and visits to the region are also planned.
This course is coupled with the design studio 251.859 "Monument conservation and design: strategies of preservation"
