After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

• to define a research topic and to formulate a research question - in this semester we will study the "Reception of Antiquity" in the Italian Renaissance in the Modul History of Architecture and Building Archaeology in the winter semester 2023. The building survey object „Castello Colonna“ in Genazzano, the surrounding architectural context and the nearby Nymphaeum by Bramante will be the focus.
  
  
• to write a scientific thesis - also as a basis for further works (e.g. Bachelor's, Master's theses etc.). This also includes learning the possibilities of an efficient (online) literature research and its administration.
  
  
• to write abstracts and exposés also in the field of research (for theory and design)

Seminar in the scope of the Modul Baugeschichte Bauforschung (History of Architecture and Building Archaeology)

Im Rahmen des Moduls "Baugeschichte und Bauforschung" nähern wir uns den individuellen Themen der einzelnen Seminararbeiten aus der praxisbezogenen Analyse während der Bauaufnahme vor Ort. Gemeinsam wird das jeweilige Seminarthema auf ein machbares Maß eingegrenzt und definiert, Arbeitshypothesen werden aufgestellt und kritisch hinterfragt. In kleineren Workshops werden die verschiedenen Herangehensweisen kollaborativ ausprobiert und trainiert.

All module dates in winter semester take place on Wednesday.
