After successful completion of the course, students are able to implement the special demands required to successfully complete a doctoral thesis at the Institute of History of Art, Building Archaeology and Restoration. 

Discussion of the dissertation s thematic emphases and a methodical approach to their development and preparation, in accordance with the progress of individual research.

Discussions on the research question of the corresponding doctoral thesis, on the structure and methodology, the degree of detail of certain sections and the possibilities of access to already existing research results. 

The students present the partial results of their doctoral thesis.
