After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

• reproduce basic business definitions
• understand the problems and overall interrelationships of business and entrepreneurship
• explain the basic competition model
• to reproduce the basics of the market economy
• explain the basics of strategic, financial, market, process and employee-oriented corporate management
• describe the core tasks of managers

The lecture deals with the basic business management interrelationships and deals with questions of strategic, financial, market, process and employee-oriented corporate management.

Structure of the lecture: (1) Competitive model and market (2) Strategic corporate management (3) Financial corporate management (4) Market-oriented corporate management (5) Process-oriented corporate management (6) Employee-oriented corporate management.

The methods for achieving the learning outcomes are:

• Lecture with possibility to pose questions
• additional self-study of the lecture material
• transcript of presented lecture contents as a supplement to the slide script

Für die Teilnahme an der Prüfung ist eine fristgerechte Anmeldung in TISS erforderlich. Studierende, welche die Anmeldefrist nicht einhalten, können nicht zur Prüfung antreten. Eine Abmeldung ist bis 2 Arbeitstage vor dem Prüfungstermin möglich. Studierende, welche ohne vorherige Abmeldung nicht bei der Prüfung erscheinen, werden gem § 18a der Studienrechtlichen Bestimmungen (Mitteilungsblatt 2014, 3. Stück; Nr. 22) für 8 Wochen von der Anmeldung zu dieser Prüfung ausgeschlossen.
