After successful completion of the course, students are able to

• Assess economical and legal aspects of international construction projects;
• Outline the challenges of current international construction projects;
• Analyze international construction contracts;
• Discuss international construction law.

The course covers the activities necessary for construction export with regard to business initiation, financing, bid processing, risk assessment and risk coverage. The preparation of financial plans, cost control, management structures and organisation are an essential part of the course material. The aspects of construction management with the supply and control of operations based on the diverse local influences are exemplarily processed. The course is supported by reports from external lecturers from current international construction sites.

Please submit the seminar paper by the deadline of 22. August 2022. The paper should be at least 15 pages long, excl. the references and title page.

• 9 lectures with 2 expert presentations each;
• Panel discussions;
• Presentation including coaching.

The seminar is held only in summer semester in even years (2020, 2022, ...).

The lecture is primarily held in English.

Active participation and presentation at the end of the course (in English or German).
