After successful completion of the course, students are able to 

• to develop and formulate a research question autonomously
• summerize international publications and the state of the art on a selected scientific topic and cite correctly
• to develop and carry out suitable experiments and / or numerical simulations to answer the research question
• analyse the obtained experimental data based on scientific methods
• critically review and evaluate the results and findings gained in the context of the state of the art
• summarize findings from the scientific work in international journals

Discussion of PhD-works

Expert interviews, specialist lectures, discussion of case studies, joint creation of process documentation, introduction to the software used in each case
