Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to correctly assess and evaluate the various mechanisms of impact of the transport system on human behavior and quality of life. They can then recognize and responsibly assess the interactions of health / quality of life, global boundaries and sustainable quality of life.

Subject of course

The lecture deals with the effect of traffic / mobility on human health (in the meaning of the WHO-Definition including psychical and social welfare) beside the "traditional" pollutions (air, noise,.....stress). The lecture deals with ways of loadings and expositions, the methods and treshold limit, handling of risks, the human ability of preception and adequate assessment as well as the effects of transport system on sustainable quality of life.

Teaching methods

Discussion of the connections using concrete, practical examples.
